Hi! I'm Dan Dinh
I am Dan The Dinh (I have a cool middle name I know). Welcome to my personal leadership portfolio! I attend Texas A&M University and am majoring in Mechanical Engineering, minoring in Engineering Project Management, and am earning a certificate in Holistic Engineering Leadership. I am grateful for all the friends and family I have in my life. I have been involved in many organizations and have learned many life lessons from my time at Texas A&M. If you have any questions or want to reach out, please contact me!
About me
Enneagram: 2x3
My enneagram type is a 2x3 which means that I am a natural helper and achiever. I absolutely love being of service in any way that I can! No matter the task or challenge that lies ahead, I want my loved ones to succeed and will do anything to help. I also love setting goals and achieving them, so this enneagram type is a perfect description of who I am.
Myers-Briggs Type: ENFP
My Meyers-Briggs personality type indicates that I am extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and prospecting. This personality type (also known as "the campaigner") describes me well as I love attention from others and lead with my heart more than my head. I also found it interesting that many people and characters I look up to have this personality type which leads me to believe I have been subconsciously emulating them my entire life. Examples of ENFP character types are Robin Williams and Spiderman.
Clifton-Strengths: Restorative
During the Summer of 2019, I took the Clifton-Strengths Strength Assessment. This assessment has 34 different strengths that are possible. My results at the time indicated that my top strength is Restorative. The Restorative strength is found in people that are adept at solving problems. They stop at nothing to figure out and resolve problems. I believe this strength fits me well as I see myself as a natural problem solver, which ultimately led to me my choice of major being mechanical engineering.
Leadership Archetype: Nurturer & Warrior
During the Winter of 2022, I learned about leadership realms and archetypes developed by Richard Olivier. After some self-reflection and learning about the archetypes, I realized I fell into the Nurturer and Warrior archetypes. My top archetype was Nurturer. This means that I love building others up, being a mentor, and caring for others as a whole. My secondary archetype was found to be the warrior archetype. I feel most like this archetype when I am put in athletic competitions and any other contests. The fire inside me to win burns brightly when in competition.
Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy being active by lifting weights, playing tennis, playing golf, or any other sport available. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family!
